I enjoyed one of the better Blue Plate Special’s I’ve experienced this summer; interestingly, came on the final day of August. No insult meant to other WDVX Blue Plate Special artists from the past few months, but this AM’s hour-long set from The Tillers was excellent- energetic bluegrass infused, old-time Americana acoustiblue music…whatever that means. The Tillers’ recent album is also very good, and their live renditions today made me appreciate it just a little bit more. Really like the cove art of the album.
