I admit, upon first listen I didn’t think Rhinestoned measured up to the previous Stand Tall. A couple recreational listens later, and the album started sinking in. Once I leaned in a bit, and picked up on the stories, situations, and observations Ringerberg was sharing, the album started to reveal its magic to me. From there, each song worked its way to the fore in turn. My review of Rhinestoned, the roots rock legend’s sixth ‘solo’ outing, is up at Country Standard Time. I would be interested to know if you think I captured it. Best- and thanks for visiting Fervor Coulee: I realize I haven’t said that it much too long!
